Job Description:

Reaching out to new schools & students for magazine article writing
- Review articles submitted by students, principals, and educational experts for clarity, coherence, and relevance to the magazine’s theme and audience.
- Correct grammar, punctuation, and spelling errors; ensure consistency in style and tone across all articles.
- Verify the accuracy of facts, statistics, and references provided in the articles.
- Drafting theme and topic of Schoolastic News Magazine
- Ensure all articles are original, free from plagiarism and AI-generated content.
- Ensuring min 10 subscriptions in Magazine every month
- Handling the operations of Magazine
- Structure the content to ensure a logical flow, highlighting key messages and ensuring that all sections of the magazine are well-organized.
- Coordinate with student authors, principals, and experts to discuss their submissions, suggest improvements, and provide feedback.
- Work closely with the editorial team, designers, and other staff to ensure deadlines are met and the magazine maintains a high standard of quality.
- Assist in planning the theme and content of each issue, ensuring it aligns with current educational trends and the interests of the target audience.
- Contribute by writing editorials, features, or other sections as needed, particularly when additional content is required.
- Stay updated on educational trends, student issues, and relevant topics to suggest fresh ideas and angles for articles.
- Attend school events, functions, and other educational gatherings as required. Conduct interviews with key participants, including students, teachers, and special guests.
- Ensure video's pre-production drafting and editing sheets of interviews conducted and events covered/ recorded.
- Ensure final and timely production of videos with Creative team and related operations.
- Conduct interviews with school principals, educational experts, and notable personalities in the education sector, and write engaging reports based on these interviews.
- Capture or coordinate with internal team to obtain high-quality images/ videos to accompany event coverage.
- Ensure all contributors adhere to deadlines for article submission, and manage the editorial timeline to avoid delays.
- Review and approve proofs of the magazine before publishing, ensuring that all corrections and suggestions have been incorporated.
- Ensure the final version of the magazine is free from errors and meets the publication's quality standards.
- Foster relationships with schools to encourage more student participation in writing and submitting articles.
- Gather feedback from readers, schools, and contributors to continually improve the content and relevance of the magazine.
- Assist in promoting the magazine through school networks, events, and social media.
- Ensure that all content adheres to ethical journalism standards, including respecting the privacy and rights of students and other individuals featured in the magazine.
- Ensure that the magazine complies with all relevant laws and regulations, including copyright laws, and obtain necessary permissions for publishing content.
